The MPAA has finally given a viewer rating for Laura's movie "The Burrowers" sadly though, it's been given an 'R' rating in America, restricting those who may see it.

Lionsgate who recently saw a rough cut of the film ae still yet to announce a release date or promotional material.

Petty’s THE BURROWERS, best described as THE SEARCHERS meets TREMORS. After a Dakota family is brutally murdered in their 1879 home, a group of ranchers and infantrymen embark on a crusade to find the killers, which they think are a renegade American Indian tribe. The truth is far worse: Carnivorous creatures hiding beneath the High Plains surface and immobilize their prey with saliva that turns flesh mushy for easy eating. Unusual in its sepia-infused Old West setting and going for a slow burn as it heads toward an ethnic-cleansing message, THE BURROWERS keeps its XTRO-style monsters offscreen for a tad too long. But Petty’s SOFT FOR DIGGING-esque cowboy creepiness evokes a strange and weirdly affecting atmosphere.

There hasn't been much news to date Laura wise. The Burrowers is still awaiting a release date through Lionsgate, and there has been little news about pilot season since the writers strike ended.
